The NeNe
Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 11:45PM Okay, so the inspiration for this cocktail is not going to be for everyone, but the cocktail itself will be.
I’m a Bravo whore, as mentioned before. And thus, I am a Real Housewives of Atlanta fanatic. Don’t hate. And when it comes to the wives, in my eyes, there’s only one: NeNe.
Bam!
If you haven’t seen the show, put your judgments aside, pack a bowl, pour a drink, watch an episode, and delight in the fabulousness that is NeNe, boo.
On Mondays I go to the farmer’s market and this Monday, as I was stuffing my bag full of fatty-fat peaches, I thought of my favorite Georgia peach herself—NeNe. So in honor of her and her boobs, enjoy this concoction, and please have one for me.
Ingredients:
-half a ripe peach
-1-2 tbsp. agave nectar (depending on how sweet you like your cocktail; and you’re welcome to use simple syrup if you prefer.)
-2 oz of bourbon of your choice
-lemon wedge
Muddle the peach with the agave nectar. Squeeze the lemon into the mixture and then pack with ice and add the bourbon. Shake vigorously and voila. Serve on the rocks with the peach chunks still in the glass. In the words of NeNe, “Bam.”

I LOVE Nene. I just finished watching the Reunion show yesterday. Funny. I have to admit that my favorite is their '6th housewife' Divo fabulous Dwight (??, crap...I'm blanking on his name)

WTF?
So I just read all about you dahling. And let me tell you - we are kindred souls. Aspiring artists. Writers. Hovering around that evil milestone that only exists to let you know how much you haven't accomplished with half of your life. Hate working for anyone but ourselves. I'm a sucker for reality TV, although I have to be for my job, but I would be anyway. We both have ridiculously unbelievable life stories. Childless.
What gives? maybe we should just write a book together.
I don't watch the show but the drink sounds great. Now I know where to go when I need a cocktail idea for a party. It's good to have an ex-bartender on your side.
Truth: I'm more of a spongebob squarepants but with the luck of the stars (or the Irish) behind me I'll be a bravo whore in no time!

Lol. You won't believe this - or maybe we should stop being surprised...I love love love the trashtastic housewives. All of them, from each city, in their own way. But Nene - omg Nene. And you and me, "we gonna get a DNA." You know, to see if we were separated at birth.
