The Pirate (aka the Spicy Mandarin Martini)
Friday, February 12, 2010 at 12:00AM We're on a roll with the oranges people, so why stop now? Afterall, soon enough, our citrusy friends will be out of season so we might as well stock up on our vitamin C now. Cap'n HHH says don't go catchin' the scurvy! Arrr matey!
Here's a tasty cocktail that will not only keep you safe on the high seas, but it will aslo warm you up on a cold Februrary night.
Ingredients:
-1 1/2 orange or madarin vodka (regular plain vodka will work in a pinch)
-1/2 Cointreau or triple sec
-1/2 simple syrup
-splash of OJ
-2 small slices of a fresh jalapeno pepper (Don't freak out; it's delicious, cross my heart and hope to die.)
Muddle the jalepeno at the bottom of your pint glass. Then pack the glass with ice and add the booze, the juice and the simple syrup. Shake well and strain into a martini glass or on the rocks. Shiver me timbers!
