Booty
Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 12:40PM Doooooood. I'm totally MIA. Totes sorrs. I feel like a tornado swept me up and has yet to barf me out.
Headed to North Carolina tomorrow, just in time to shake hands with Earl, which is quite apropos for my life. Going to a fabulous wedding that is a 3 day long event which should be one for the record books, if it doesn't land me in rehab and a fat farm.
Before then though, I have a couple thank yous I need to acknowledge. First, The Vegetable Assassin who's wickedly hilarious and a mind-blowingly talented painter sent me these two paintings:
This is Pyramid Lake. It's about 40 minutes away from my hometown. Pyramid is a magical place. Veggie, I can't wait till the day you and I drink cocktails on its beach, watching the sun set and the stars rise.
And this one:
Um, rad. This is my all-time favorite dress that I wore at one of my all-time favorite nights: The Roller Jam. Veg, you're my hero. And I kinda wanna lick your face. Not in a gross way, but in a puppy who loves her human kind of way.
And one of my new interwebz besties, Alyson B at Calling People Names. She sent me these ridiculously fabulous goodies:

Right?! Can you even believe how badass she is? All of this complete with David Sedaris' new book AND a koozie. Little known fact: HHH is obsessed with koozies. Alyson, THANK YOU! She puts it much more eloquently, but getting mail is best gift. But getting presents and paintings in the mail? The bestest gift.
Okay, off to North Carolina. Hopefully if when I return I'll have a little cushion of time on my hands and some brain cells left to write something of any interest. Thanks for sticking around, homies. Y'all are the real deal.

Kick ass goodies from Ms. OWO! Plus they include not only David Sedaris and his hilarity but also a healthy amount of hot pink.
I'm glad you enjoyed the paintings missy. Enjoy NC.
NC is the best, if you can avoid the outer banks. have fun.
I want some booty!
Veggie: Enjoyed is an understatement. Cried with joy is more accurate.
EB: I can't wait for some sweet tea!
Jenny12: Guuurl, you already got some! Oh no she didn't!
I love that Calling People Names chick. She rocks. But now that makes me want to have presents in the mail too!
I love koozies too! Is that weird?
Have fun in NC.
J: Totally rocks! Nuthin better than a present in the mail!
Ronny: Not weird at all. Koozies are the shiz. I want a whole collection
Ed: Thanks, Ed!
That's awesome. What nice friends! Funny enough, I put a little somethin somethin in the mail to you 2 days ago..........have fun at the wedding! I'll think of you on my time zone!
Mail, yeah! I got a letter, a hand written 'over several days' freaking letter the other day. Felt like a trip to Oz, like my Grandmothers underwear, like an artifact. You could see the different moods my friend was in by the handwriting... That's a gift in the mail.
uh, are we spose to send you gifts?
Boober: holee crap, I'm way too excited already!!
Zoots: oh that is just the best. A letter written on multiple days, with multiple pens--my fav!!
Dude: only if you want to go to heaven. ;)
That was so not a cocktail. Grumble.
If you decide to abandon us and stay in NC forever, can you at least ping me so I can come visit next time I'm hanging with my kin? I'll bring moonshine...
Have a great time! I'm sure you'll come back with some good stories for the blog. I just hope you miss the storms out there.
I need booty...... Come back. I miss you!
Wow--you're like a queen..and omg--the red dress painting is fabulous! Have a great week xoxo
